On May 17, the Jewish Healthcare Foundation sponsored a Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures event at the Carnegie Library Lecture Hall that featured novelist, poet, essayist, and author Elizabeth Rosner. JHF sponsored the event in partnership with the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh and the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh.

Since the Pittsburgh Arts & Lectures Series began in 1991, JHF has had the pleasure of sponsoring an array of authors who visit the city to discuss their internationally-acclaimed works. The list includes luminaries like Siddhartha Mukherjee, Sheri Fink, Jared Diamond, Yann Martel, Michael Pollan, Andrew Weil, Atul Gawande, Laurie Garrett, Susan Love, Betty Friedan, Gail Sheehy, Andrew Solomon, and Susan Faludi.
